A short break at TPC

We just returned from two nights away, staying at the TPC Club just outside of Moshi (Arusha Chini).
The club is located in the TPC (Tanganika Planting Company) sugar plantation.
Our friends, the Andrews, and Peter also joined us - such fun to have other people to holiday with.

We were so blessed to have wonderful views of Kilimanjaro while we were away.
As we approached Moshi the clouds began to disperse, and the mountain became clear.

Moshi was dusty and hot...

but when we entered the TPC plantation it was like a haven.
Green. Sealed roads. Quiet.

We stayed in the Factory House.

 enjoying cable TV

I must say, we really miss TV. The kids had fun watching the Disney channel, and I managed to watch an episode of 'Secret Millionaire', which was quite moving. However, we were all stunned to watch something absolutely dreadful - Honey Boo Boo. It was like passing a car crash. No-one could look away.

Tim & Peter - playing Bananagrams

The house had a pool which inspired a game of water rugby.

Oliver was very pleased to have the opportunity to play tennis with Terry and Ricky.

  1. Laughed out loud at your description of watching Honey Boo Boo. I've only seen the ads for it and that was disturbing enough.
