Safari with the Sapsfords - day 1

We set out at a decent time (9.30am) to drive to Karatu for our first stopover.

We spent some time walking around Mto wa Mbu and shopped in the local markets (so pleased the Sapsfords are a shopping family).

We stayed overnight at the Bougainvillea Lodge in Karatu. It was so wonderful to sit and relax away from Arusha - and to have a proper hot shower!
