Scenes from the school house this week

We continue to learn a lot of Swahili through Magdalena's story telling sessions.
The younger children have been immersed in 'a' words, and Oliver is reading "The Magician's Nephew".

I went shopping with Paskalina at some markets and bought kangas and vitenge to cover the bookshelves etc as protection against the dust, and to make furnishings.
It is amazing how much cheaper the local price is - we bought 9 pieces of fabric that cost the same amount I spent previously on 3!! And the soko (markets) were quite an experience, and I was quite the novelty.

  1. Oliver is looking so grown up!
I love the material - great choice, the colours are beautiful.
The school is looking good : )
